Bonnie (Mycock) Azevedo, age 68 of Berkley, passed away on November 5, 2018 at Wedgemere Health Care in Taunton, with her loving husband and immediate family by her side. She fought a long battle so bravely and she now is at peace.
She was the beloved wife of Francis (Frank) Azevedo for 45 years.
Bonnie was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George and Jacqueline (Trembley) Mycock. She also had a brother and 3 sisters: George Mycock, June Sasser, Melanie Capriotti and Cathy Gillotti.
Before retiring, Bonnie was executive secretary with Reed & Barton for many years. She could type over 100 words per minute!
She enjoyed going out to dinner and dancing at least every Saturday night. She and Frank loved traveling – especially to the Ocean Deck in Daytona Beach, Las Vegas to play slots and they saw so many shows, and then tropical islands with grand beaches. She had quite a collection of hand-blown glass and Roosters/Chickens/Hens from her travels. Bonnie cherished those times with her four grandchildren and the neighborhood children too. She was interested in all their activities and attended as many as she could. She had some of the best time of her life babysitting her grandson Jeremy from when he was a baby until he went to kindergarten. During this time, she also deeply loved sharing her home with Jess, Amanda, Tony, Jr. and Bud who were also welcomed into her heart as her own. She loved when her yard and driveway had kids playing together in it. She shared her love in many ways to many. Her gentle spirit will be missed.
Our family would like to thank the entire staff of Wedgemere Health Care of Taunton for the excellent care and kindness they gave to our family.
Besides her beloved husband Frank of over 45 years, she is survived by step-children Brian Azevedo and wife Judy of Raynham and Linda Andrade and husband Bob of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Lauren and Matthew Azevedo, and Jeremy and Allyson Andrade.
