Adelia “Adele” (Balzi) Sestito, age 92, passed away at Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton on Thursday, October 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Sestito, Jr.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Josephine (Petrucci) Balzi.

Adele is survived by her children; Joseph Sestito, Cherylann Corr, and Jane Hall. She was the sister of Anna Gangemi and Louis Balzi, Jr., grandmother of eight, great-grandmother of 5. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Adele was the mother of the late Linda Sestito, sister of the late Richard Balzi, Olga Lynch, Jennie Dundon, Phyllis Smeglin, Ida Piatelli, Viola Ferraro, Margaret Alwood, Josephine Karas and Doris Balzi.

Adele’s funeral will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Saint Mary Church, Taunton.

Interment will be held privately.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.
