Adeline "Lena" (Andrade) Teixeira

Adeline “Lena” (Andrade) Teixeira, age 94 of Taunton, passed away February 8, 2018 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Care of RI.

She was the wife of the late Christiano Teixeira.

Mrs. Teixeira was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Raulino) Andrade.

Before retirement she was employed for many years with Raytheon. She enjoyed sewing and was a very talented seamstress.

Lena was the loving mother of Stephen Baptiste and his wife Christine of Middleboro and Richalie Lopes and her husband Charles of Lakeland, FL. She was the step-mother of Chris Teixeira, Jr. and his wife Christine of Westport, Stella Emond-Pacheco of Fall River and Linda McGovern of Tiverton, grandmother of five, great grandmother of six, as well as several nieces and nephews. Lena was also the sister of the late Joseph Andrade, Lucy Lewis, Irene Silvia and Natalie Callahan.

Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 1 to 4 pm followed by a service at 4pm. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home)

Her burial will be held on TUESDAY February 13th at 10am in Cedar Knoll Cemetery 175 Staples Street, East Taunton. (Relatives and friends may meet directly at the cemetery).
