Albert H. Amaral

Albert Amaral, Sr., age 94 of East Taunton, passed away on March 23, 2026 at Oak Hill Nursing Home surrounded by his family.

He was the husband of the late Marinda (Chambers) Amaral.

Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (deCosta) Amaral.

Before retiring Albert worked many years as a self-employed carpenter, serving his community building and maintaining many homes. He built several family homes including the family compound which was known as the gentlemen's farm.

Albert was an avid trumpet musician and player all his life. He enjoyed playing with several bands throughout his community.

He was the family patriarch and loved spending time with his family.

Albert is survived by his loving children; David Amaral and wife Sandra of Taunton, Albert Amaral of E.Taunton, Allyson Cintron and husband Gorge of NH, Douglas Amaral and wife Kimberly of E.Taunton, Darrin Amaral of E.Taunton, and Suzanne LeBrun of E.Taunton, brother; Raymond Amaral, sister; Nancy Amaral and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Richard Amaral, Robert Amaral, Lorraine West, Isabelle Amaral, Helen Boutlier and Yvonne Amaral.

Albert’s funeral with visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 10:00am followed by a funeral home service at 11:30am in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway ( at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. ( Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.)

Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
