Alberto Vilas Boas, husband of the late Maria F. (deJesus) Vilas Boas, died at home on March 30, 2009.
He was 88.
Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Candida (Lemos) Vilas Boas.
Educated in Portugal, where he was later employed as a mail carrier, he moved to the U.S. in 1977.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, Mr. Vilas Boas worked as a buffer for the Norwell Manufacturing Co. before retiring at the age of 65.
He leaves a son, Felisberto Vilas Boas, of Taunton; a daughter, Herminia Vicente, of Taunton; 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, April 3rd at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be on Thursday, April 2nd from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
