Alcide G.Tremblay, age 88 of Dighton, passed away on December 13, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of the late Beatrice L. (Gracia) Tremblay.
Born in Fall River, MA he was the son of the late Normand Sr. and Violetta (Caron) Tremblay.
Al was a hard worker. He worked as a lab technician at ICI for over 30 years. After retiring, he opened his own lawn mower business, Dighton Lawn Mower Repair. He also worked as a driver at the American Auto Auction for several years. His life was changed when he met his beloved wife, Beatrice and he gained a whole entire family when they got married. He was a very involved family man and his grandchildren and great- grandchildren were the light of his life.
He is survived by his step children; David Silvia and wife Vikki, Donald Silvia and wife Sharon, Robert Silvia, brothers; Roger Tremblay and wife Darrell, Paul Tremblay, grandchildren; Tyler Silvia and wife Joanna, Jeffrey Silvia, Nicole Rebelo and husband Chris, Dylan Tremblay and long-time partner Ashley Davidson, great-grandchildren; Trent Silvia, Jordan Lander, Juliana Rebelo and Delylah Tremblay. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Al was the father of the late Alan Guy Tremblay, stepfather of the late Michael Silvia and brother of the late Normand Tremblay, Jr. and Robert Tremblay.
Al’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 9:30 am in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church, 499 Spring Street North Dighton, MA 02764.
Interment will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 5 to 8pm.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.
