Alexandrina “Shandra” (Farias) Silva, 96, passed away May 12, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Providence.

She was born in Raynham, MA, daughter of the late Jose and Victoria (Amarello) Farias.

She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Silva to whom she was married for 70 years.

She was a resident of Brookdale Senior Living in Attleboro for the last 3 ½ years.  She formerly lived in Raynham, Taunton, and North Falmouth where she made her home with her late husband in their retirement years.  She was a seamstress all her adult life and owned and operated The Taunton Dress Shop.  She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro and formerly of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and Shawl Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:45 am in Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd, North Falmouth.

Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:15 pm.
