TAUNTON- Alfred Machado, Jr., age 59, of Taunton, former longtime resident of Raynham, passed away in the early morning of Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Born in Taunton, MA, Alfred was the eldest of three children born to the late Alfred Machado, Sr. and Gloria (Coute) Machado. He grew up in Raynham and was a graduate from Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School.
A hardworking man with a knack for being able to build and fix anything, Al worked as an Electrician for many years. In addition to working for himself, he also spent time employed at Quadgraphics and Retail Printing.
Al was a proud Call Firefighter for the Raynham Fire Department, where he took pride in assisting the residents of Raynham with their emergency needs.
In his spare time, Al enjoyed tinkering with his drones and airplanes, fishing, golfing, and fixing up stuff around the house.
He is survived by his siblings: Neil Machado of Taunton and Melanie Machado of Halifax. He will also be missed by his several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Al’s Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday , July 6, 2023, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Raynham American Legion Post 405, 291 Mill Street, Raynham, MA.
