Alice A. (Alves) Nunes, age 93 of Taunton, passed away on January 30, 2018 at Morton Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of the late Idilio “Dee” Nunes, who passed in 2006.
Alice was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Morais) Alves.
Alice and her late husband Dee, owned and operated the Broadway Bakery in Taunton for over 36 years.
She was the loving mother of Anthony Nunes and wife Maria of Taunton, Jeffrey Nunes and wife Sharon of Berkley, Gary Nunes and wife Laurie of South Easton, Sandra Parker and husband James of Taunton, Beverly Nunes of Taunton, and Allison Myron and husband Christopher of Berkley, grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 15. She was also the sister of the late Emma Guillemette and the late Esmeralda “Babe” Viera.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton on Monday, February 5th from 4 to 7 pm. (additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
