Amelia M. (Medeiros) Sousa, age 82, passed away on July 27, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Sousa.
Amelia was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Jose and Idalina (Miguel) Medeiros.
Before retiring, Mrs. Sousa was employed with Parker Brothers Plastics.
She enjoyed cooking, domingas for her church,and spending time with family.
Mrs. Sousa is survived by her loving children; Mario Sousa of Swansea, Carlos Sousa of Taunton and Anterio Sousa also of Taunton. She was the grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 2.
Amelia’s funeral will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 8:45am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Annunciation of the Lord Church, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 31st from 2 to 5pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
