Ana (Gomes) Barbosa, age 100, of Taunton, passed away on December 18, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Barbosa.
Ana was born in Cape Verde a daughter of the late Manuel Gomes.
Mrs. Barbosa was devoted to her family and has a legacy she left behind that will be carried out for many years to come.
She is survived by her children; Manuel Barbosa and his wife Maria, Antonio Barbosa and his wife Marcia, Miguel Barbosa and his wife Gilena, Catherine Barros and her husband Arlindo, Isabel Alves and her husband Inacio, and Lidia Barbosa. She was the sister of seven brothers and a sister. She was the loving grandmother of twenty-nine, great grandmother of thirty- seven, and a great-great grandmother to a baby girl to be born this month. Ana is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ana’s funeral will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:00 am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Saint Anthony Church, School St., Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
