EAST BRIDGEWATER - Ana L. Barros, wife of Manuel S. Barros for 64 years, died at Morton Hospital in Taunton, on December 8, 2015.
She was 84.
Born in Santa Maria, Azores, she was the daughter of Antonio and Ana Julia (Chaves) Sousa.
She worked at Walkover Shoes in Bridgewater as a stitcher for 15 years.
Later in life, she enjoyed being a homemaker and loved gardening, her grandchildren and family.
She was a communicant of St. John's Church in E. Bridgewater.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Antonio Barros and his wife Nelia of Taunton and Jose Barros and his wife Inez of W. Bridgewater; three daughters, Ines Barros of Brockton, Ana Maria Pereira and her husband Alfredo of Taunton and Zelia Barros also of Taunton; a sister, Angelina Leandres of Santa Maria, Azores; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Saturday, Dec. 12th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 11th from 5 to 8 p.m.
