Andrew J. "Juju" Carroca

TAUNTON - Andrew J. Carroca, an eighth grade Friedman Middle School student, died at home unexpectedly, on March 16, 2009.
He was 13.
Born in Salem, MA, the son of Julie L. Wise and John J. Carroca, he resided in the area for the past seven years.
Nicknamed "Juju", Andrew was full of life and vigor, and enjoyed basketball, video games, and playing jokes.
In spite of an ongoing battle with epilepsy, he was a delight to his family, waking them daily with "Good morning sunshine, the earth says hello" - starting their day with a smile.
Andrew also had a spiritual side, studying the Bible with the local Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was loved by many friends, including Daniel, Matt and D.J. and his close cousin, Rafael.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his mother and father, he leaves his stepfather, Brent May; siblings, Desiree, Aleah and Cameron Carroca; grandparents, John C. and Juliana Carroca; great-grandfather, John Galui; aunts, Ilene Curry, Holly St. John, Merinda LaRocque, Ulaine Espaillat, Heidi Beaudoin, Susan Martin, Marion Tarbox, Jennifer and Jessica Carroca; and many uncles, cousins and friends.
He was also the grandson of the late Lee and Sandra Wise.
Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, March 21st at 3 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
