Angel O. Melendez

Angel O. Melendez, age 76 of Taunton, passed away on March 9, 2026 at Morton Hospital.

Angel was born in Manati, Puerto Rico the son of the late Alfredo Maldonado and Ricarda Melendez

Mr. Melendez enjoyed the simple things in life such as taking walks, enjoying nature, and spending time in God's Word. He would also lend a hand to any person in need, most of all Angel cherished time spent with his loving family.

Angel is survived by his loving son and friend, Daniel Melendez, he was the grandfather of Faith and Alex and brother of Jamie Ortiz, Rafael Ortiz, Raul Melendez and Alfredo Ortiz. Angel was also the brother of the late Felix Melendez, the late Cruz Melendez, and his late sister Aurea Lopez.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 9am with a funeral service to begin at 10am in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.

Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
