TAUNTON - Angelina (Gonsalves) Curran, wife of the late Joseph Curran, died on Wednesday, Nov. 5th, at Life Care Center of Raynham. She was 91.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late John & Virginia (Rodrique) Gonsalves.
Educated in Taunton schools, she later worked as a mental health assistant for Taunton State Hospital, retiring in 1979.
A communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church in N. Dighton, she was also a member of the Oakland Seniors and the MA Commission for the Blind. She leaves a daughter, Joanne Simmons of Taunton; 2 granddaughters, Cara Pillsbury and her husband Charles of Wareham and Angela Troiano and her husband Mark of Norton; 6 great-grandchildren, Alyson, John, Joseph, Mariah, Tyler and Nathan; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Saturday, Nov. 8th at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, N. Dighton at 9 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be Friday, Nov. 7th, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th St. New York, NY 10032.
