Angeline (Amaral) Mello, age 92 of Taunton, passed away on August 26, 2019 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro.
Angeline was the beloved wife of the late James Mello, Sr.
Born in Taunton, Angeline was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Silvia) Amaral.
Before retiring, Mrs. Mello was employed with Taunton State Hospital for many years as a nurse.
She enjoyed her home, family, soap operas, Steve Harvey and Dancing with the Stars.
Mrs. Mello is survived by a sister, Odelia Taunton of Johnston, RI, grandmother of James Michael Mello, Sr. of Hingham, MA, great-grandmother of James M. Mello, Jr. and Thomas Mello both of Duxbury, MA. Godmother of Ruth M. Taunton of Warwick, RI and Bettyann Amaral of Mansfield, MA. Angeline also leaves her niece Michelle A. Taunton of Riverside, RI, nephews Peter M. Amaral of Seekonk, MA, marty James Amaral of Taunton, she was the great aunt of Joseph Taunton of Westerly, RI and Rebecca Taunton, her great-great nephews and nieces; Joey, Julianna and Olivia Taunton of Westerly, RI and was the cousin of Jean Silvia of Taunton, Terry Silvia Thrasher of East Taunton, David Silvia of East Freetown and Corey Silvia of Taunton. She was also the loving mother of the late James Mello, Jr, sister of the late Dennis Amaral, Marion “Marty” Amaral and the late Elizabeth Amaral, as well as her late Godson Bruce H. Taunton
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Esther, Angeline’s caregiver and to the staff (especially Ralph Cordero) at Kindred Hospice for their patience, kindness, compassion and exceptional care. Also to Jean Silvia for all the love and support she so willingly gave to Angie.
Funeral services were held privately.
