Anna M. (Cordeiro) Correia, age 94 of Taunton, passed away on September 3, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Correia who passed in 1997.
Anna was born in Taunton the daughter of the late Manuel and Sarah (Reis) Cordeiro.
A devout Catholic, Mrs. Correia was a member of the Pastoral Council of St Anthony Church, Holy Rosary Sodality, Faith Formation teacher for over 40 years Eucharistic Minister making home visits as well as visiting four nursing homes distributing Holy Communion, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Anna was also a recipient of the Marian Medal.
Anna is survived by her loving son Stephen Correia and wife Beth of Taunton, grandmother of Ashley Correia, Heather Correia and Andrew Nystrom, great- grandmother of Janira Lee Nystrom. She was the sister of Richard Cordeiro of Taunton and mother in law of Jeffrey Nystrom. Anna was the mother of the late Annalee Nystrom.
Anna’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 8:45am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square)Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church in Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 9th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
