Anna E. (Goulart) Medeiros, age 89 of Taunton, passed away on March 6, 2026 at the Life Care center in Raynham.

Anna was born in Dighton, the daughter of the late Matthew and Annie (DeCosta) Goulart.

Ms. Medeiros retired from the City of Taunton having worked in the cafeteria at Taunton High retiring in 2004.

She was a Taunton High graduate of the class of 1954.

Anna, affectionately known as "Tootsie," and lovingly called "Ginga" by those who loved her the most, lived a life devoted to serving others. She spent many many years serving the children of Taunton through her work at Taunton High School and E. Pool School, and in later years brightened many days greeting customers and sharing samples at Costco, working there until the age of 84.

Anna was incredibly hardworking. Even while working full-time for the City of Taunton, she always held an additional part-time job. She truly loved working, not just for the work itself, but for the opportunity to connect with and talk with people.

In her spare time, Anna cherished being with her family above all else. She also enjoyed playing bingo and attending Triad meetings, where she found friendship and community. And let’s not forget her famous rice pudding, which was a staple for all family gatherings.

Selfless, compassionate, loving, and generous, Anna was the heart and matriarch of our family. She always put the needs of her family before her own, and her strength, kindness, and devotion will remain a lasting legacy for all who knew and loved her.

Anna is survived by her loving children, Sharon Flannery and her husband Randy and Dennis Medeiros and his wife Michele. Grandmother of Scott Flannery, Ryanne Dahm and her wife Ryan Faith, Dylan Medeiros and his wife Kayla and Paige Medeiros and her partner James, great-grandmother of Kennedy, Wyatt , Vivian, Greyson, Gavin, Ainsley, and Addy.

She was the sister of David Goulart, Richard Goulart, and Joanne Guimond. Mother of the late Scott R. Medeiros and sister of the late Matthew Goulart, Robert Goulart, Sandra Roderick and Andrea Butler.

Anna’s funeral will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 9am with a funeral service to begin at 10am in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
