TAUNTON - Anna L. (Morrissey) Parkinson, wife of the late Raymond T. Parkinson, died at Longmeadow of Taunton on June 21, 2014.
She was 91.
Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Catherine C. (McCaughey) Morrissey.
Mrs. Parkinson was raised and educated in Taunton and was a 1940 graduate of St. Mary's High School.
A retired senior clerk, she was employed by the City of Taunton Veterans Services.
A former member of the Taunton Women's Club and Red Hat Society, Anna was an active volunteer, serving at Golden Living Wedgemere Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Walker School and Citizens for Citizens.
Survivors include a son, Bruce E. Parkinson and his wife Mary of North Falmouth; a sister, Helena Nickolds of GA; four grandchildren, John B. Powers of Blackstone, MA, Michael R. Powers of WI, Mark Parkinson of Littleton, MA, and Scott Parkinson of Taunton; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Carol A. Powers, and sister of the late Donald, Alfred, and Doris Morrissey.
Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.
