Marie Annette (Arsenault) Chagnon, age 84 of Taunton, Massachusetts, formerly of Farmington and Avon, Connecticut, passed away on March 21, 2023 at Morton Hospital after spending her last days surrounded by her loving family.
For 52 years she was the beloved wife of the late Paul Chagnon.
Born in Hartford, CT she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Leoline (Belliveau) Arsenault.
Annette was a graduate of the Mount St Joseph Academy in Hartford. She enjoyed activities such as Mahjong, Bridge, and Whist. She was an avid reader and loved jigsaw puzzles and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was always up for going out to breakfast or a board game and attending any event that involved one of her grandchildren. Those that loved Annette were fond of her wit and no-nonsense approach to life.
After raising a family she took many wonderful vacations with her husband Paul, and together they enjoyed winters in Florida before his passing in 2012.
Annette is survived by her loving children; Stephen Chagnon and his wife Hilary of Unionville, CT and Suzanne Caramelo and her husband Roger, of Taunton, MA and was the adored Memere to her grandchildren; Alex Caramelo, Anakin Caramelo, Maddie Chagnon and Jason Chagnon.
Annette is also survived by sister in law Dale Chagnon of Windsor, CT and she will be missed by her many good friends and family .
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1 to 3pm from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Burial will be held privately.
