Anthony Paul Cardoza

d. June 16, 2020

Anthony Paul Cardoza of East Taunton, the beloved husband of the late Clementine (Machado) Cardoza, passed peacefully on June 16, 2020 while surrounded by family at Morton Hospital after a brief illness. He was 81 years of age and is survived by his loving children Dennis Cardoza and his wife Wendy of Attleboro, and Susan (Cardoza) Robinson and her husband Philip of Billerica. He was the grandfather of David, Andrew, Kyle and Matthew and the brother of Dennis Cardoza of Fall River. Paul, as he was most often called, was born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel and Virginia (Medeiros) Cardoza.

He was a member of the United States Army stationed overseas where he developed a fondness for travel. He and his wife, along with many family members and close friends over the years, saw much of the Americas, Caribbean and Europe together. They were the hosts of many a barbecue and pool party in Paul’s meticulously maintained yard. He was employed with Good Samaritan Hospital for over twenty years as a mail handler before retiring, where he enjoyed his day-to-day interactions and banter with the entire hospital staff, knowing most of them by name.
