Anthony “Tony” “Antone” Dutra, passed away on April 17, 2020 at the Brockton Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Gloria Gonsalves.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Antone and Herminia (Furtado) Dutra.
Anthony was a graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1950. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Tony owned and operated HydraPower Marine LTD for many years. Mr. Dutra served as a past secretary for the Hockamock Beagle Club in Norton.
He leaves his children, Steven Dutra, of Taunton, Kevin Dutra, of Bridgewater, Timothy Duffy, of New Hampshire, Christine Eisner, of Sharon, and Linda Motha, of New Hampshire; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great- great granddaughter, several nieces , nephews and cousins. Tony was the father of the late Michael Dutra and brother of the late Albert and Lillian Dutra.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic restrictions, Tony’s interment with military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with the Silva Funeral Home, of Taunton.
