Anthony J. Medeiros, age 102 of Norton, a proud Navy Veteran of WWII, passed away on March 23, 2024 at Life Care Center in Raynham.
He was the beloved husband of the late Georgina Phyllis (Texeira) Medeiros.
Born in Taunton, Anthony was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Traves) Medeiros.
Before retiring, Mr. Medeiros was a produce manager for the former Fernandes Market.
Anthony served his country with the Navy during WWII From 1942-1945.
He was a member of the VFW, enjoyed playing pool and was an avid NE sports fan.
Mr. Medeiros was the loving father of Peter Medeiros and his companion Dorothea Camara of North Attleboro, Joanne Medeiros of Winthrop, MA and was the brother of Eileen Robitaille of Taunton. Grandfather of 12. He was also the father of the late Thomas Medeiros and the late Anthony Medeiros, Jr.
Anthony’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 10am with a funeral service to begin at 11am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
