Anthony Rogers, age 88 of Taunton, passed away on February 21, 2018 at Longmeadow of Taunton.
He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Soares) Rogers for 57 years.
Anthony was born in Taunton, a son of the late Anthony and Annie (Paige) Rogers.
Before retirement, Mr. Rogers was employed with Belcher Iron Co as a foundry worker for many years retiring in 1990. Mr. Rogers was an avid Red Sox Fan, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
Anthony is survived by his loving children: Russell Rogers of Taunton and his wife Cheryl, Janet Gorrochotegui of Berkley and her late husband Gustavo, Janice Boyd of Taunton and her husband Thomas, grandfather of: Katelyn Gorrochotegui, Kelly Riccio, Stacey Nepini & Ryan Boyd. He also leaves a step-sister Shirley Furtado of Florida and late brother Lionel Rogers of Taunton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rogers' funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 9 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at Saint Anthony’s Church, School St, Taunton. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
