Antone "Tony" Arruda, Sr.

d. February 16, 2025

Antone “Tony” Arruda, age 60 of Rehoboth formerly of Raynham, passed away on February 16, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved companion of Brook Beranger-Leite.

Born in Taunton, Tony was the son of the late Adrian “Rudy” and Joanne (White) Arruda.

Tony was a farmer at heart, dedicated to his family farm in Raynham.

He enjoyed the long days working in the fields and starting projects, finishing with unforgettable stories, jokes and laughter with family and friends. His passion and love for animals included even those that were less fortunate and never passed up the opportunity to add them to his home or farm. Tony's most cherished enjoyment was taking everyone off guard in all that he said and did. His love for the simplicity of life, confidence and strength, always led to the next treasured bonfire story.

Besides his beloved companion Brook of over 22 years, Tony is survived by his loving children, Antone “AJ” Arruda of Middleboro and Benjamin Arruda of Lakeville, a brother Joseph Arruda and his wife Michelle of Raynham, his nephews Brandon Arruda and Joseph Arruda Jr. He was also the brother of the late Mary-Lou Arruda.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 4 to 7pm with words of remembrance beginning at 6:30pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately.
