Antonieta (Peixoto) Reis, 73, of Raynham, and formerly of Taunton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 7th, 2018.
She was the widow of John D. Reis. Born in Faial, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio Peixoto and Bernadette (Aguiar) Peixoto.
Antonieta worked for the Taunton Public Schools as a cafeteria worker and also worked for the Frank Noone Shoe Company. Antonieta loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She cherished spending time with her family on Cape Cod. She also loved to crochet, travel and frequent casinos with friends and family.
Survivors include her children, John L. Reis of Berkley and Elizabeth Reis of Raynham; sisters, Maria Lourdes Amaral and Maria Bernadette Laranjo, both of Taunton; grandchildren, Vanessa Demaral, John J. Reis, Angela Demaral, Joseph Reis, Ryan Demaral and Tyler Demaral; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Joseph Peixoto.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 13th at 9:00am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow in St. Anthony Church, School St., at 10:00am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours Monday from 4-7pm.
Parking with full handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.
