Antonio C. Aguiar, age 93 of Taunton, passed away on February 19, 2022 at Morton Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mariana (Machado) Aguiar.
Antonio was born in Sao Jorge, Azores, the son of the late Jose and Maria (Raposo) Aguiar.
Before retiring, Mr. Aguiar was employed with Frank Noone Shoe Company as a machine operator.
Antonio enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes with his family and was always quick to play a joke. He truly enjoyed people, most of all he was a loving and caring man who was devoted to his family.
Antonio is survived by his loving children; Ana Branco and husband Carlos and Antonio J. Aguiar and wife Connie all of Taunton, grandfather of Carlos, Louis, Eric, Ashley and Joshua, great-grandfather of 9 and brother of Ezequiel Aguiar. He was also the brother of the late Eduardo Aguiar and the late Emilia Medeiros.
Mr. Aguiar’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 8:30am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Annunciation of the Lord Church, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
