Antonio Augusto, age 84 of Taunton, passed away on March 12, 2017 at Morton Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Maria (DeAndrade) Augusto.
Antonio was born in Portugal, a son of the late Cesar and Maria (Almeida) Braganca.
Before retirement, Mr. Augusto was employed with Copper Craft for many years. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and also enjoyed playing the guitar.
Besides his loving wife Maria of over 60 years, he is survived by his children, Fernando J. Augusto of Middleboro, Antonio C. Augusto, Helder M. Augusto and Dulce H. Simal all of Taunton, Brother of Eugenio Braganca, Manuel Braganca , Ezaura Correia all of Taunton and Maria Fonseca of Fall River. He was also the grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 8.
Mr. Augusto's funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 8am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) in Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St., Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
