Antonio M. Lazaro

Antonio Lazaro, age 69 of Raynham, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of

Arminda (Batista) Lazaro, and together they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Born in São Miguel, Azores, Antonio was the son of the late José and Maria (Simões) Lazaro. A true social butterfly, he loved being around people and found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren, whom he was immensely proud of, as well as with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards, telling stories, and sharing laughter with those he loved. Antonio appreciated the simple things in life and found happiness in fishing, camping, gardening, and caring for his farm animals. He was at his best when his hands were busy, whether working on his own projects or helping someone else with theirs. Within his family, Antonio was known as someone you could always count on, ready to help, fix what he could, or find the right person to lend a hand. Helping others was simply who he was, and there was nothing he would not do for the people he loved.

Antonio is survived by his loving children, Stephanie (Lazaro) Albernaz and her husband Jeffrey, and Eric Lazaro. He is the grandfather of Lilyana Albernaz and Cullen Lazaro. He was one of seven siblings and is survived by João Lazaro, Maria Resendes, Idalina Bulter and Fernando Lazaro. He was predeceased by Daniel Lazaro and José Lazaro.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 2-5pm at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square), Taunton, MA. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Antonio’s funeral will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Anthony’s Church, 126 School Street, Taunton, MA.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
