Antonio J. Velho, age 73 of Taunton, passed away on June 7, 2018 at Morton Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Normanda (Correia) Velho.
Antonio was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, a son of the late Antonio and Nazare (Carvalho) Velho.
Before retirement, Mr. Velho was employed as a union construction explosive rock blaster. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his beloved wife Normanda of over 17 years, he is survived by three sons; Mike, Steve and Tony Velho, he was the brother of Jose Velho, Helena Goncalves, Maria dos Anjos Silva Velho all of Canada and Maria deLourdes Velho of Sao Miguel. He also leaves several grandchildren, nieces & Nephews.
Mr. Velho’s funeral will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 15th from 5 to 8 pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
