Arlene (Doherty) Rodriguez, age 78, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She was the beloved wife of Angel Rodriguez.
Born in Berkley, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Sylvester) Doherty.
Before retirement she was employed at Paul A. Dever State School as a caregiver for many years. She enjoyed going out with friends and family dancing the night away. Being surrounded by family and having the best cookouts. She was the life of the party! She spent as much time as she could with her kids and grandchildren. Arlene’s Sunday dinners would brighten anyone’s day. She was loved by so many and will be missed even more.
Besides her husband Angel of 53 years, she is survived by her children; Heide DaSilva, Robert Rezendes, Brian Rezendes, Jose Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez and husband Paul Smith, brother; William Doherty, grandchildren; William, Michael, Sabrina, Christopher, Tyler, Ashley, Jeffrey, Katrina, Cheyanne, Daylin, Mya, great grandchildren; Deandre, Dante, Andrew, Emmalyn and Madison. She was the mother of the late Nancy Alfonso and sister of the late Carol Lindsay.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 4 to 7pm with a service to begin at 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton.
Burial will be held privately.
