Arthur Edward Oldrid, age 87 of Raynham, passed away at his residence on February 15, 2023.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Beers) Oldrid.
Arthur was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Henry and Edith (Jollie) Oldrid.
Before retiring, Mr. Oldrid was employed as a painting contractor and a real estate investor.
Arthur proudly served his country with the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1957.
He enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins
Arthur was a member of American Legion
Arthur is survived by his children, Brenda Mitchell of Taunton and Peter J. Oldrid of Raynham and the late Jennifer Wyatt. Grandfather of Crystal, Jessica, Justin, Samantha, Danielle, Abbey and Katherine, great-grandfather of Kaitlyn, Hannah, Harper, and Cole.
He was the brother of James Oldrid of RI and Carol Miller of FL, and brother of the late Elsworth Oldrid, John Oldrid , Adel Pytka and the late Ethel Strom.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11am in the Steeple Point Church 494 Church Street, Raynham MA 02767. Relatives and friends may meet directly at church at 10:30am. A private burial with military honors will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
