August “Gus” J. Pimental, Jr., age 79 of Taunton, passed away on March 10, 2024, at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of 58 years Marion (Westgate) Pimental.
August was born in Alabama, the son of the late August and Gertrude (Moore) Pimental, Sr.
Before his retirement, August was employed with the City of Taunton Water Department as a laborer.
He enjoyed going to bingo with his Wife, fishing with his Son, spending time outdoors, and spending quality time with his family.
Besides his beloved wife Marion of over 58 years, August is survived by his daughters, Sandra Ferris and her late husband Steven of Taunton, Tammy Reynolds and her husband Douglas of Lakeville, Daughter-in-Law Kathy Pimental of Taunton. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Steven Jr, Heather, Justin, Matthew his wife Gina, Joey. His great Grandchildren Siara, Haven, Isaiah, Savaya, and Theodore. He was the brother of Capt. Richard Pimental and his wife Nancy of Taunton and his Sister Gloria Cowen of Maine and the Father of the late George Pimental and the late August Pimental, III. A special friend Debbie Skinner.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 , at 10am with a funeral service to begin at 12 Noon in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
Interment will be held privately.
