Barbara Ann (Macedo) Pacheco, age 80 of Somerset the beloved wife of
John Pacheco, passed away on Saturday evening, February 23, 2019 in the
comfort of her daughter’s home in Swansea.
Barbara was born in Fall River , a daughter of the late Antone and Mary
(Ramous) Macedo.
Mrs. Pacheco was a talented seamstress for many years and made all of
her daughters concert attire. Having a love of music growing up herself
her greatest joy was watching her daughter blossom through her violinist
accomplishments attending all her concerts in her musical career as her
biggest fan always encouraging her beaming with pride. She loved running
the Vegetable Stand at Simcock Farm & Ice Cream, her daughter and son-in-
law’s farm. She loved helping and seeing people enjoy themselves .
Her life was devoted to her family, fishing with her husband, camping as a
family, retiring as a couple visiting FL during the winters and traveling
with her husband John.
Besides her beloved husband John of over 61 years, Barbara is survived by
her loving daughter Beverlyann and her husband James Simcock of
Swansea, and was the beloved mother of the late Maryann Pacheco who
passed in 1974 at the age of 10. Barbara was the sister of her late twin
sisters Mary Joan Macedo , Mary Jean Almeida and the late Richard
Macedo.
Mrs. Pacheco’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday,
February 28, 2019 at 10 am in Saint Patrick Church 306 South Street,
Somerset. (All relatives and friends may meet directly at church.) A
private interment will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.
