Barbara (Perry) Sevigny, age 87 of East Taunton, passed away on January 14, 2020 at Morton Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of the late Omer “Joe” Sevigny; they married on the 4th of July, 1955 in the former Holy Cross Church in Fall River
Barbara was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Wnenta) Perry.
Barbara enjoyed cooking, watching old movies, and Facebook. She also cherished time spent with her family, friends and her beautiful new great granddaughter.
Mrs. Sevigny is survived by her son, Joseph R. Sevigny and his wife Sandra of East Taunton, loving grandmother of Daniel and Kathryn Sevigny and great-grandmother of Eliana Backstrom. Barbara was also the sister of the late John J. Perry and the late Dorothy J. Kurowski. Barbara was also the best friend of Arthur and Betty Murray of Taunton and was treasured by all the Murray family.
Barbara was a communicant of Holy Family Church for over 40 years and served as a Eucharistic minister.
Barbara’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 9:30a.m. from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway(at Saint Mary’s Square), Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Holy Family Church Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton. Interment will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
