Betty D. (Green) Murray, age 85 of Taunton, passed away on December 30, 2020 at Life Care Center of Raynham.
She was the beloved wife and best friend of Arthur B. Murray, Sr.
Betty was born in Raynham, the daughter of the late William and Hope (Greene) Green.
Before retiring, Mrs. Murray worked for many years in retail sales, and then as a secretary for Ad-a-day in Taunton.
She enjoyed spending time with family, road trips, animals and the ocean.
Besides her beloved husband, Arthur of 65 years, she is survived by her loving children; Arthur B. Murray, Jr and his wife, Lisa of North Dighton, Allen D. Murray, William A. Murray and Joyce E. Murray, all of Taunton, Kathleen H. Moniz and her husband, John and Sandra J. Sevigny and her husband, Joseph, all of East Taunton. She was the grandmother of Michael, Matthew, Jillian, Daniel and Kathryn. Great-grandmother of Christian, Henry, Caspian, Dahlia and Eliana. She was also the sister of Russell Green of Raynham and sister of the late Robert Green, Raymond Green, Barbara Naegelin and the late Beatrice Nadeau.
She was also the beloved Aunt of several nieces and nephews both locally and across the country.
Betty will always be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor and her infectious laughter.
Mrs. Murray’s funeral was privately held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, at the request of the family. A Mass of Christian Burial at was held in Holy Family Church Middleboro Ave., East Taunton. Interment was in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
