In Loving Memory of Brady Duke Cookson 🤍

Mother’s Day will forever hold a special place in our hearts because it was the day that we brought home our first baby, Brady.

Out of 14 puppies, he had the darkest coat, and no one had chosen him. But somehow, he chose us. We brought him home in the Mini Cooper where he fit perfectly in the cupholder (this only lasted about a week).

We taught you all your first tricks, and somehow managed to housebreak you in less than a week. You grew faster than we ever imagined—so fast that mom even threw her back out trying to pick him up to dance. He was there for every chapter of our lives.

He celebrated our engagement, stood beside us through our wedding, moved homes with us twice, and stayed by our side as we searched for the place we would finally call home. He welcomed both of our babies home from the hospital and loved them as your own.

Brady found joy in the simplest things: swimming, nature walks, chasing a ball, going for car rides, cuddling on the couch, and simply being wherever we were.

He patiently let his human siblings ride him like a horse, and he even joined Emily for her tea parties—because he was never too big, too old, or too tired to be part of their little world.

Brady did more than simply grow up with us. He protected us. He saved mom’s life after her seizures. He was always there when we needed him, even when we didn’t know we needed him.

Brady is survived by his parents, Tyler & Jennifer Cookson; his human siblings, Bryson & Emily; and his fur sibling, Daisy-Mae. He leaves behind a family who will forever carry the imprint of his paws on their hearts.

He wasn’t just our dog. He was our soul dog. Our first baby. Our constant. You grew up with us, loved us through every season of life, and gave us more love than we could ever put into words.

Brady, you were the best dog, the sweetest boy. And there will never be another you.Thank you for choosing us that day. 🩵

Forever our boy.

Forever loved.

Forever missed. 🐾💔
