Carolyn (Silver) Milko

Carolyn (Silver) Milko, age 95 of Berkley, passed away on February 6, 2025 at Marian Manor. She was the wife of the late Henry S. Milko, who passed in 2023.

Born in Taunton, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy ( Kenyon) Silver.

Before retiring, Mrs. Milko was employed with Bentley & Bentley as a legal secretary. She was also a trustee of the Berkley Library and a Cub Scout leader. Carolyn owned and operated, along with her husband, the Berkley Nursery and Tree Farm in Berkley. She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening, and spending summers in Falmouth with her sister, Shirley. She loved girls’ days, especially with her daughter, including shopping and lunch dates. She was an avid traveler, along with the Happy Hearts, visiting many places around the world. But mostly, she loved spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed, and remembered for; her kindness, homemade cooking and baking (especially her blueberry pies!), and her warm smile that welcomed everyone into her home, farm, and hearts.

Carolyn is survived by her loving children Sharon Nunes and husband Jeffrey, sons; Peter Milko, Paul Milko and James Milko, grandchildren; Sarah MacDougall and husband Derek, Ryan Nunes and wife Jennifer, Abram Nunes and wife Meghan and Kathryn Paiva and husband Joshua, great-grandchildren;  Liam, Lila, Bryce, Harrison, Wesley, Nolan, Cameron, Blake and Zachary.

She was the sister of Francis Silver, Mary Hannigan, JoAnne Barrow and sister in law to Sally Baran. She was the mother of the late Henry J. Milko and sister of the late Shirley Czepiel.

Mrs. Milko's funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Bernard Church, Assonet.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
