Celestina (Ourique) Coelho

Celestina (Ourique) Coelho, age 67 of East Taunton, passed away on December 17, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joao Coelho.

Celestina was born in Terceira Azores, a daughter of the late Manuel and Paulina (Ourique) Azevedo.

Before retirement, Celestina was employed with Louis M. Gerson Co and was employed prior with Nebisco in Mansfield and with the former Copper Craft Co.

Mrs. Coelho was devoted mother, sister and a friend to many. She loved to spend Saturdays with her sisters. Celestina was also a member of the Holy Ghost.

She was the loving mother of Danny Coelho of East Taunton, sister of Manuel Azevedo, Fernanda Meneses, Luzia Gravito all of Taunton, Jose Azevedo , Rosa Borges both of East Taunton, Fernando Azevedo of Raynham, Maria Rocha of FL, Filomina Chaves of NC and Luisa Medeiros of Berkley. She was also the aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Coelho’s funeral will be held on Friday , December 22, 2017 at 8:30 am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Family Church Middleboro Ave in East Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, December 21st from 4 to 8 pm in The Silva Funeral Home

(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home)
