Celia Pinto

Celia Pinto, age 102 of Taunton, passed away at her residence on January 22, 2026 with her loving family by her side.

Celia was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Santos) Pinto.

Miss Pinto was a 1941 graduate of Taunton High School. Before retiring, Celia was employed with the former GE Hercules, part of the Haskon Company for over 43 years.

She enjoyed baking and cooking, but most of all she cherished time spent with her loving family.

Miss Pinto is survived by five nieces, Roberta Pinto, Karen Souza, Kathi Driscoll, Tricia Neill and Joanne Pinto as well as many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Laurinda Ouillette and Louis Pinto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10am in Saint Anthony Church 126 School Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends may meet directly at church at 9:45am, and park in the back parking lot of the church. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to; St Jude Children’s Hospital in Miss Pinto’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.
