TAUNTON - Charles R. Dutra, husband of Jane M. (Abdou) Dutra, died at his Taunton home on Sept. 28, 2013.
He was 53.
Son of the late Charles A. and Alice P. (Bailey) Dutra, Charlie was a lifelong Taunton resident, and graduate of Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School.
A motorcycle enthusiast and mechanic, he owned and operated Charlie's Cycle Repair in Taunton for over thirty years, and was well known in the area for his abilities as a Harley Davison mechanic.
Charlie repaired Harleys for the Taunton Police Department.
An avid Patriots fan and a season ticket holder, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and everything Harley Davidson.
In addition to his wife, Charlie leaves his brother, Joseph Dutra of Taunton.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Oct. 4th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday Oct. 3rd from 4 to 8 p.m.
