Christopher Gerard Alden, age 58 of Raynham, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2023 at his residence. Born in Taunton, Christopher was the son of Joanna (Roche) Alden and the late Harvey Melvin Alden. Christopher was self-employed with his home business Alden PC Concepts where he worked on computer and video game console repair. He was a graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School Class of 1983 where he was a member of the football team, drama club, and school band. He graduated from Bridgewater State College with a degree in computers. He then graduated from New England Tech with a specialty in computer builds. Christopher enjoyed being a member of the Taunton Jaycee for quite a few years and held several different offices, including newsletter editor and President of the Chapter. Christopher was an avid gamer and took pleasure in music and playing in a rock band in college playing both drums and electric guitar. Christopher was a true fan of the Patriots, Bruins, and the Red Sox. He enjoyed good food and cooking, movies, and working on his truck. The most important thing that Christopher loved was the time he spent with his daughter, Madison, and his family. Besides his beloved mother Joanna, Christopher is survived by his daughter Madison Alden of Taunton, his sister Kathryn Rousseau of Taunton, his sister Margaret Alden-Roderick of New Bedford, brother-in-law Gary Rousseau, brother- in-law Daryn Roderick, his niece/godchild Kaitlyn Rousseau of Taunton, his uncle Robert Roche of Taunton, his aunt and uncle Judy and Dennis Ackerman of Taunton, and several cousins and friends across New England. Christopher’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 8:45am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Ann Church North Main Street in Raynham. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.

Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Monday, September 25 th from 4 to 7pm. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to an animal shelter in Christopher’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.
