Clara Malinowski

Clara L. (Niethold) Malinowski, age 101, of North Attleboro, passed away on the morning of Friday, July 26, 2024, at Life Care Center of Raynham. She was the loving wife to the late Albert Malinowksi, who passed away on May 12, 1994.

Born in Boston, she was the oldest of five children born to the late Charles and Henrietta (Wiegold) Niethhold. She was raised and grew up on her family’s farm in Sharon.  A longtime resident of North Attleboro, Clara was a frequent volunteer at the North Attleboro Council On Aging.

Clara worked for many years as a Packer for Hilsinger Corporation in Plainville.

In her spare time, Clara had a wide variety of hobbies and interests. She was an avid sports fan, watching many ball games and especially golf on TV. She had a love for bowling and even went to North Bowl in North Attleboro, well into her later years, to play with friends. She also liked to garden and bake. Above all, Clara was most happy when she was in the presence of and making memories with her dear family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clara is survived by her cherished and proud son: Edmund Malinowksi and his wife Ann of Taunton; her grandchildren: Cynthia Rhodes-Greto of Swanton, VT, Elizabeth Rhodes of Taunton, and Christina Malinowski of Taunton; her 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchildren; and also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her husband and parents, Clara is preceded in passing by her siblings: Mildred Peterson, Agnes Ross, Charles Niethold, and Arthur Niethold.

Clara's Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 10:30am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) Taunton. Visitation is respectfully omitted.

Clara’s Committal Service will also take place on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 1:15pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne. There will be no formal funeral procession from the funeral home to the cemetery. All are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 1:00pm.
