Clare A. James, 86, of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, following a long journey with Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia.
She was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Teresa M. Purtell and Teresa's partner of 16 years, George Magee, whom Clare proudly referred to as her son, and Autumn, her dog, always by her side. Clare also had amazing friends that provided emotional support and care: Patty Lane, John Meucci, Janet Little and Mary & Michail Barnes.
She was the daughter of the late George A. and Sophie (Dzengelewski) Lynch.
For 36 years, Clare worked as a word processor for the Goodwin Proctor Law Firm. She loved her animals, photography and gardening with George.
Survivors also include her beloved brothers George A Lynch Jr of Marlborough, and Robert Lynch of Wareham; sister-in-law, Barbara Lynch of NY; her 5 grandchildren & many great grandchildren nieces, and nephews. She was also sister of the late Bill Lynch.
Arrangements with Silva Funeral Home were privately held.
