**At the request of Claudia's family, those who attend services are encouraged to wear bright colors, not dark or black attire**
TAUNTON-Claudia A. Andrade, age 75, of Taunton, passed away surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her dear family on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was the beloved wife for 53 wonderful years to her husband, Richard N. Andrade, whom she wed on June 20, 1970.
Born in Brockton, MA, Claudia was the only child and daughter born to the late George Beals and Florence (Soule) Osenkowski and her stepfather Francis Osenkowski. She was raised in Brockton and moved to Taunton in her teens where she would meet her husband.
For many years, Claudia had the ever so important job of being a Homemaker. She took great pride in providing a safe and comforting home to her husband, daughter, and all who entered the doors of her home.
In her spare time, Claudia had a wide array of hobbies and interests. She was an avid reader of poetry, and she herself had the ability to put words together, creating beautiful pieces of poetry. She liked to listen to music and was also a talented musician, as she was able to create and write her own sheets. She was an impressive photographer with a great ability to capture and edit photos. Claudia also had a wonderful collection of fairy figurines, which she would use to put together fairy scenery for all to enjoy. Above all, she was most happy when she was in the presence of and making memories with her dear family.
In addition to her husband, Claudia is survived by her cherished daughter: Kimberly A. Andrade; her two granddaughters: Sarai N. Voyard and Asha G. Andrade-Johsnon; her brother-in-law: William J. Andrade; her niece: Amy Campbell; and also numerous cousins and extended family members.
Claudia’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 , at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church, 1st St., Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 19th, from 5 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
