Constance (Rose) Bernier

TAUNTON - Constance (Rose) Bernier, wife of the late Henry J. Bernier, died at the Marian Manor in Taunton on July 21, 2011.
She was 88 years old.
Born in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Almeida) Rose.
Raised and educated in Dighton, she resided in Taunton for many years.
Mrs. Bernier was employed by the Independent Nail Company of Bridgewater, where she worked as a packer for many years, before retiring some time ago.
A communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, she enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and country music.
Survivors include a son, Henry J. Bernier, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Taunton; a daughter, Doris A. Smith and her husband Ronald of North Dighton; three sisters, Clara Medeiros of Kentucky, Carolyn Medeiros of Raynham, and Helen Edgell of Taunton; two grandchildren, Darrin Smith of Newport, RI and David Smith of Alabama; three great grandchildren, Allison Smith of Indiana, Jacob and Emma Smith, both of Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Mary Andrade and Dorothy Mendes.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, July 25th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 24th from 5 to 8 p.m.
