Craig Silvia, age 61 of Taunton, passed away on August 19, 2026 at his residence.
He was the husband of the late Jennifer Silvia who passed away in 1995.
Craig was born in Fall River Massachusetts, the son of the late Gerald Silvia and Rita Silvia.
Craig attended Swansea public schools and was a 1986 graduate of Southeastern Educational Collaborative. Craig was known in the Taunton community as a kind and gentle person, and a beacon of civic and community spirit.
Craig was a fixture at Taunton City Council meetings, he knew everyone and everyone knew Craig.
That same community spirit shined brightly at his workplace Pride, where besides his day to day duties, Craig was known as a social butterfly at many of Pride's outreach events.
Outside of his job and civic duties Craig enjoyed exploring Taunton and meeting it's many residents usually over a meal, where he would talk about current events or his passion for Pro Wrestling, a subject of which he had encyclopedic knowledge.
Craig is survived by his step brother Jason Silvia of Pawtucket RI, and his step mother Pauline Silvia of North Providence RI. He is also survived by his Uncle Mario Silvia and his wife Cheryl of Swansea Ma.
