Crucin (Rivera) Rodriguez, age 84 of Taunton, beloved wife of the late Jorge Rodriguez, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Morton Hospital.
Crucin was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Rafael and Efigenia (Orza) Rivera.
Before retirement, Mrs. Rodriguez was employed with the former Ames Warehouse in Mansfield for over 20 years.
Mrs. Rodriguez moved to Taunton in 1967. She was a 1954 graduate of Percy Business College. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, adult coloring books, and watching her Spanish soap operas. She also loved attending any of her granddaughter’s events. She was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family.
She was the loving mother of Maria Bostick, wife of Michael, of East Taunton, Jorge Rodriguez, Jr. and wife, Marina, Ivan Rodriguez, Nestor Rodriguez and wife, Jessica, and Harold Rodriguez and wife, Nancy, all of Taunton. She also leaves her precious grandchildren, Kris Frates, Jorge Rodriguez III, Angelica Rodriguez, Brianna Bostick and Nicole Bostick. She was the great-grandmother of five and also leaves several nieces and nephews. Crucin was also the grandmother of the late Troy Pina and sister of the late Miriam Santos.
Mrs. Rodriguez’s funeral will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 8:45 am from The Silva Funeral Home (80 Broadway at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Saint Mary’s Church Broadway, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18th from 4 to 7pm. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home)
Crucin was a member of the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life team, Team Bri. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to Team Bri in Crucin’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.
