Cruz Ortiz Melendez, age 64 of Taunton, passed away on August 18, 2018 at the Dighton Nursing Home.
Mr. Melendez was born in Manati Puerto Rico a son of the late Alfredo and Ricarda (Melendez) Maldonado.
Before retirement, Cruz was employed with ADM Company for many years as a machine operator.
Cruz enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.
He was the brother of Jamie, Rafael, Raul, Angel and Alfredo Ortiz, and the brother of the late Auria Ortiz and the late Felix Ortiz-Melendez.
Cruz’s funeral with visitation will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 9am with a service to begin at 10 am in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
