TAUNTON - Curtis A. Simpson, husband of Mildred L. (Dutra) Simpson, died at his Taunton home on Feb. 20, 2013.
He was 82.
Born, raised and educated in Taunton, he was the son of the late Louis B. and Susan (Kelley) Simpson, Sr.
A retired groundskeeper, he was employed by the Wrentham State School for many years, before retiring in 2001.
Earlier, he owned and operated a printing shop in Taunton and had worked for Rand McNally and Reed & Barton Silversmiths.
Mr. Simpson enjoyed spending time with his family, country music, fairs, camping, traveling and dancing.
In addition to his wife of Taunton, he leaves two sons, Arthur "Ray" Simpson of Berkley and Dennis J. Simpson of Taunton; two daughters, Sharan Simpson of Taunton and Kathie Cabral of Dighton; a sister, Dorothy Rose of Taunton; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Louis B. Simpson, Jr. and William, Harry, Charlie, Arthur, Esther and Elise Simpson.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Feb. 25th at 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will receive visitors from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services.
